Kelsey Straatsma, Physiotherapy
Kelsey first graduated from McMaster University with an Honour's Bachelor of Kinesiology, where she participated in a 1-year internship with McMaster Sport Medicine as a student physical trainer. After graduating, she worked for 3 years as a Certified Kinesiologist in different rehabilitation settings and then went on to pursue her physiotherapy career at Queen's
University, where she graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. She has since gone on to continue her education, both in the manual therapy field, (successfully completing her Level 3 certification in the AIM-Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal program), and in pelvic health training (completing level 1 and 2 certifications). She also has training in
acupuncture and dry needling, running injuries, and soft tissue release. Kelsey is bilingual in English and French. She has had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings including acute care, post-op rehabilitation, and outpatient interdisciplinary clinics. She is excited to continue growing as part of the TIHC team providing patient-centred and evidence-based care to the
community.
